Chapter 13 - She was just perfect

(A/n - I swear my writing has gotten REALLY bad. Im so sorry but I hope you enjoy)

A nervous Kiara sat in front of the dressing table, staring at herself. Her eyes looked lifeless she was lifeless. Surely she wanted a family and wanted to leave her 'mothers' but was it all worth it being the wife of such a monster, being a part of such a toxic family.

It didn't take long for her to realize that the family, the house was horrible and everything was a drama. She wanted a family, not a team of toxic people that worked collectively to ruin her life.

A slight knock on the door made her flinch as two figures made an appearance. Kritika and Dhwani. A gentle voice "Kiara tumhari shaadi ka maurat ho gaya hai. Aajao" She slightly nodded and looked back at the mirror, taking a deep breath. Tears has already made their way to her eyes and she could feel them stinging her eye.
(Kiara its the time for your wedding. Come on)

There was no going back anymore. She was going to be a part of this family and nothing could change it. She slowly got up from the chair in her huge lehenga. Being a part of a royal family and especially getting married to them meant everything had to be extravagant.

She was wearing a huge, heavy blood red lehenga for the wedding along with heavy but gorgeous jewelry. From earrings to necklaces to rings to bracelets to anklets everything was custom made for her, adorning her body beautifully. She had to admit, she looked more than gorgeous Beautiful.

She stepped out the room with Kritika and Dhwani beside her standing in their own definition of gorgeous. As the reached the door specially for the bride, Dhwani kept a hand on her shoulder. "Kiara ab aage tumhe aapne aap jana hoga. Abhimanyu tumhare aage hi kadhe honge, bas wahan tak chal ke jaana hai tumhe. Hum paas main hi khade honge." Kiara wasn't in the state to speak so she simply nodded as Dhwani and Kritika walked out another door with the rest of the crowd.

As the two walked out they could see eyes stuck on them. Especially two pairs. Yuhaan and Shikhar. They were standing with a few people who looked like business partners. Both of them subconsciously waved for the business partners to go away before taking long strides to meet their wife.

Dhwani reciprocated the gesture by walking towards Shikhar ending up in warm hug. His chin rested on the top of her head as they got lost in their own world. He looked down and gave her a small kiss where his chin rested earlier and didn't bother moving though he did bend down just a little further to whisper in her ear.

"You look gorgeous jaan." A smile spread across her face as she heard him and let a small chuckle. She just nodded in ecstasy. She was his jaan!

Meanwhile Kritika was stuck at her spot while Yuhaan walked towards her. He looked magnificent. As he reached her, he gently held her soft hands in his rough ones. "Hello mi vida" He knew how to speak spanish? "A-aapko spanish aati hai?" A deep chuckle left his throat unknowingly. "Mi vida trust me, I know more than 75% of the languages that exist in the world"
(Mi vida = My life)

A soft chuckle before she spoke "So you are not only workaholic but a foreigner too." He slowly pulled her close before speaking "Hmm" He pulled her in a tight hug before continuing "And im your husband too." She hugged him back wholeheartedly. He was finally changing for the better.

Soon after music started playing indicating that the bride is about to enter. As the doors slowly opened, Kiara stood there. In her elegant bridal wear, looking down while her hands were connected in front of her. Her hair open, resting at her shoulders and the dupatta resting at the back of her head.

As Abhimanyu's head turned towards her, he could feel his breath hitch. He knew there was no denying at the beauty standing in front of him. Forgetting everything he said about not caring about her was down the drain. All he felt like doing was protecting her, keeping her safe and in front of his eyes 24/7. His eyes scanned her entire body in an attempt to find a fault in her yet no avail. She was just perfect, and at that moment he knew he wouldn't be able to stop himself for falling for her.

She was his, by hook or crook. However his eyes did stop at her lips but not in a perverted way, in his way of claiming her. He wanted to lean down, kiss her lips, hug her and never let her go away from him. His admiration was cut short as he felt a tiny push on his shoulder indicating him to help Kiara up the stage as she struggled in her bridal wear. Abhimanyu quickly ran/jogged towards her just in time to offer his hand.

Her eyes looked at the origin of the offered hand to find him looking at her with a small smile that looked oh so good. A small smile grazed her face as she reciprocated the emotion. Her small hand fit right into his palm as he helped her up the stage.

The two walked towards the pavilion and sat down on the two small chairs for them and priest sat in the right hand side of Abhimanyu. As the priest started chanting some mantras for the wedding he asked the bride and groom to offer rice and ghee the agni kund (fire) for prosperity, long and happy lives.

As that comes to an end, a garland each is handed to Abhimanyu and Kiara as the priest instructed them to exchange the garland symbolizing the union of two souls. The time seemed to be going in a slow-motion when Kiara's eyes turned lifeless once more. A sinking realization filled her. This is really happening. I really am getting married.

Abhimanyu was the first person to exchange the garland by placing it around her neck. Although when is was Kiara's turn, all she could do was stare at him. How am I going to put the garland around this pole's neck? As if reading her thoughts, he warmly smiled at her and without a word went down on his knees. All to make it easier for her to place it around his neck.

She smiled back before finally placing the garland where it really belonged.

Soon they sat back down on their seats before the priest instructed for the mangalsutra and the sindoor. In an Indian wedding, the mangalsutra and the sindoor are significant symbols of marital commitment. The mangalsutra is a sacred necklace typically made of black and gold beads, symbolizing the bond between the husband and wife. It is tied around the bride's neck by the groom as a symbol of their eternal union. The sindoor, on the other hand, is a bright red or orange powder that the groom applies to the parting of the bride's hair, signifying her status as a married woman. These traditional symbols hold deep cultural and religious significance, representing love, commitment, and the sacred bond of marriage in Indian culture.

Someone handed Abhimanyu the Mangalsutra and he turned back towards Kiara. She leaned forward in an attempt to make it easier for him. A while later, as the mangalsutra was tied at her neck the priest instructed him to fill her hairline with the sindoor (vermillion).

He picked up the sindoor, he looked back at her, staring into her eyes. There was something so majestic about them, gorgeous. He leaned forward and whispered "Dekh lo, Sindoor laga raha hoon. Iske baad tum sirf meri ho." Instead of a reply, she responded in a curt nod.
(Look here, I'm applying the sindoor. After this, you're only mine.)

As he picked the sindoor from the container and started to apply a tad bit of it fell on her nose however as soon as he tried to remove it, the crowd burst into applause as the priest explained that the falling of the sindoor on the bride's nose symbolizes the couple will live in happiness. "Vivah sampan hua."
(The marriage is now over)

As the crowd got busy in talking to each other, Kiara and Abhimanyu got off the stage and Abhimanyu walked off to talk to others while Kiara walked towards Kritika and Dhwani who were standing alone.

Soon the couples met each other once more and headed towards their table to finish dinner. All through this Kiara could feel the stare of her now mother-in-law. She knew that being an orphan and not being rich meant having to face a lot of hate. Especially from the royal and to her luck, she was now married to the 3 son of the Royal Family.

A while later,  Dhwani & Shikhar and Kritika & Yuhaan walked back to their rooms while Kiara & Abhimanyu stayed back to bid all the guests.

After bidding the guest a goody bye with a fake smile, the two walked towards their room however they were stopped to finish a few rituals before entering the house.

(A/n - Sorry Yaar I won't explain these rituals. However you can search them up if you'd like. )

As the rituals got over, the two walked in the house together and then led to Abhi- their room. Walking the two were shocked to see...
